UNILAB Key Stage 3 BEK Kit - 30 Students
UNILAB Key Stage 3 BEK Kit - 30 Students
Product code: AP053490
Product Description
Contents enable a class of up to 30 students working in groups to carry out investigations into electrical components and circuits using structured work cards and robust components. The components are mounted on to tough yellow plastic tiles, each fitted with two 4mm terminals. The components can be made into circuits by connecting them together using the supplied 4mm leads. Each component tile features the correct circuit symbol for the specific component. The supplied work cards have been written by our in-house experts and reflect the current KS3 national curriculum. The kit is supplied in Gratnells trays with lids, allowing for easy packing and storage.
Kit Contents:
- 60 x 4mm Stackable Plug Lead 250mm - Red (12 x Packs of 5)
- 60 x 4mm Stackable Plug Lead 250mm - Black (12 x Packs of 5)
- 40 x BEK Ammeter

- Full kit containing all electrical components required to carry out investigations into current electricity at KS3 level.
- Supplied with a complete set of work cards aligned to the current UK curriculum.
- Key Stage 3 Physics – Electricity and Electromagnetism: What current is, how it's measured and units it is measured in, in series and parallel circuits, currents add where branches meet and current as flow of charge. What potential difference is, how measured and the units it is measured in. Battery and bulb ratings; resistance, measured in ohms, as the ratio of potential difference (p.d.) to current. Differences in resistance between conducting and insulating components and the units of measurement of resistance.
- Key Stage 3 Physics – Energy: Other processes that involve energy transfer: e.g. completing an electrical circuit.
- The BEK Tiles are easily connectible using standard laboratory 4mm Stackable Plug Leads
Contains equipment to complete the following practical activities:
- Measuring Current in Series Circuits
- Measuring Potential Difference
- Investigating Parallel Circuits
- Investigating Resistance
- Investigating Motors
