Escherichia coli K12 strain (E-Coli) is a Gram Negative rod-like bacterium found in the lower intestine of warm-blooded mammals. The E-Coli K12 strain has been modified to make it only able to survive in certain conditions, removing the risk of food poisoning during proper use.
